Deken Park

 

Sand volleyball courts, playground equipment, baseball diamonds, a basketball court, and horseshoe pits, make Deken Park everyone's fun time destination! You can play sports, run or walk around paved paths, or just have a picnic under one of the many pavilions. During the summer you will see kids playing baseball or softball, joggers or walkers getting their exercise, and kids just stopping by to play awhile.

Lake Nellie & Tower Lake

 

Lake Nellie:

This great fishing spot is about 1 mile north of town. Lake Nellie is an ideal spot for an afternoon boat ride or a peaceful spot to canoe. This is a great way to spend a summer or fall morning to watch the sunrise or to have a family picnic in the cool afternoon shade.  Stay updated on our calendar about the annual fishing tournaments.

 

Tower Lake:

Located on the south edge of town, Tower Lake is a great spot for a fishing day with the family or a picnic. It offers a great view of the sunset over the tranquil water scene. 

St. Elmo Community Park District

 

A park that has became community member favorite over the years. A family favorite for outdoor activities, reunions, and birthday parites!

St. Elmo Golf Course

 

St. Elmo Golf Club, a semi-private club, was established in 1970 by a group of local businessmen. The course has matured into one of the finest and most challenging 9 hole layouts in the area. It has tree lined zoysia and bermuda grass fairways with bent grass greens.

Veterans Memorial Wall

 

A newly added piece of history to our small county town, the Veterans Memorial Wall established in the late 2000's and was built to recognize St. Elmo's hard working veterans. Every year on Veterans Day you will see a ceremony will residents of all ages come out for a day of remembrance and honor for our local veterans.
